General Entry Requirements for Indian students

Scholarships for International Students

Discover scholarships at the University of Newcastle for Indian students starting in 2026.

The International Excellence Scholarship rewards high-performing students to study at the University of Newcastle. Applicants with a strong academic background receive financial support and further incentives for continued achievement.


The scholarship is based on a fixed value for each year of study under a standard full-time study load (80 units) apportioned over each course taken.


The annual scholarship amount is equivalent to 20% of the gross annual international tuition fee, with the unit value—calculated based on a standard 10-unit course—varying depending on the specific program of study.

Scholarships will be awarded to applicants who receive an offer to study in an eligible program and commence study with the University in Trimester 1, 2026 and beyond.
