INFORMATION FOR STUDENTS FROM INDIA
Southampton's Entry Requirements
English requirements may vary based on test type, the course of study and the level of degree. Students from India who have achieved 70% in English at Class XII from CBSE or CISCE may be exempted from additional English language requirements.
Undergraduate entry requirements
- IELTS Academic Test: Overall score of 6.0 or equivalent with no band score lower than 5.5.
- Between 28 and 38 points in the International Baccalaureate (IB).
- Higher Secondary Certificate/Standard 12, achieving at least 75% from Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), the Council for Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE) and Metro State Boards (Delhi, Maharashtra, Chennai, Kolkata and Karnataka).
Postgraduate entry requirements
Bachelors degree awarded by a recognised University or an equivalent professional qualification approved by the University with an overall qualification of at least 60%.
