English Requirements
UOW requires all international students to demonstrate English proficiency.
Most courses require: IELTS 6.0 for undergraduate study and IELTS 6.5 for postgraduate study.
Equivalent scores in TOEFL, PTE and Cambridge exams are also accepted.

You’re generally eligible if you’ve completed Class 12 through CISCE / ISC with a score of around 77% –88%, depending on the selectiveness of the course. (UOW equivalency benchmarks: 77%, 84%, 88%)
UOW also accepts CBSE (AISSC) and state board qualifications at similar benchmark levels with a score of around 65% –85%.
You’re eligible if you hold a Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university.
According to UOW’s equivalency table, a Section I Bachelor's degree with a score of 45% (Second Class) is used as a reference point.
Some courses may require higher grades or relevant academic background.
